A network or an in-network provider is a health care professional or facility that has contracted with Aetna to provide LM HealthWorks Plan members with services based on pre-agreed fee structures and other criteria. In order to join the network, providers must undergo a credentialing process that considers factors such as education and training, licensure, certification and/or registration to practice in a health care field. Care provided by an in-network provider is called in-network care. Likewise, benefits paid for services given by an in-network provider are called in-network benefits.
