You can fill short-term prescriptions — for up to a 30-day supply of medication — at a retail pharmacy. Remember, you save when you use participating pharmacies (those belonging to the CVS Caremark network). You can find a participating retail pharmacy near you by visiting https://info.caremark.com/lmrx.
If you use medication on an ongoing basis (such as those used to treat high blood pressure and high cholesterol), you can order up to a 90-day supply and have it delivered right to your home with the mail-order service at https://info.caremark.com/lmrx, or you can choose to pick up your 90-day supply at your local CVS store. Using this will frequently save you money, too!
There is no deductible to meet for prescription drugs. You pay a percentage of your covered medication’s cost — called coinsurance. The amount generally depends on the type of medication used to fill your prescription. In fact, the most you will pay out-of-pocket for your covered prescriptions is $2,000 (if you have individual coverage), or $4,000 (if you have family coverage)!
