Teladoc FAQs
How do I use Teladoc?
To use Teladoc you must first register on their site. Registration requires a certain amount of information (63%) before you can request a consult, including address, age, allergies, height, weight, etc. It takes about 15 minutes to register and complete the medical history. It is recommended that you register as soon as possible, so if/when you need the services you will be all set to go.
Request a Consult
— You are required to provide a method of payment to secure the request. You will not be charged until after the consult is complete and the claim is processed through Aetna’s system. The claim will be processed against your HealthFund first (if applicable). If no HealthFund credits remain, then your credit card or PayPal account will be charged.
When requesting a consult, you may upload a photo pertaining to your medical issue (i.e. photo of your rash, bruise, swollen eye, etc.) for the doctor to view prior to contacting you back. You can also upload a photo during the consult for the physician to view in real-time.
A physician will contact you
within 1 hour of your consult request, or at a scheduled consult time, if requested. (If you request an immediate consult, most physicians respond within an average of 16-22 minutes.)
